Magnificent Landscape, Seascape, Escape, Cape, Japie.
I like it very much. Your history held me in breath of the beginning at the end. Yesterday I saw the movie: Open Water...
Fortunately that you did not need to urinate by cutting the wind in front of your family ;-)
An excellent post with a kind of note I wish to write some day.

I must say that even without those big waves this photo would be great. Waves add some scary feeling. Great landscape with big rocks on BG and small ones on FG. Great work Japie!

Hi Japie Good storm image though the image does look to be running down hill right to left, its not too bad as its going with the waves which are impresive in size. TFS
They say we have another big storm tonight and maybe some snow thrown in but as it is all coming from the west I expext it not to get us here in Nottinghanshire on the east of the country, (these might of course be famous last words after this)

Caught the atmosphere of the situation perfectly. Making good use of colour to capture the mood. Some people hide their camaras when the weather turns bad, which is a bad idea as we can see.

This photo almost makes me dizzy with it's powerful force! Excellent capture of these waves, thank you for the excellent note that helps put this in perspective.
The Oregon Coast is always busy during winter storms, the hotels full of storm watchers, when I lived there it was not such a novelty to see, but now that I don't live there I do miss these dramatic views.
I like the dark clouds and the color of the rocks in the foreground.
Excellent photo...well done.

What a mood, This IS the Cape as I know it, & those rocks are the same colours red as at Camel Rock and Scarborrough. Pietta love this, we now both have withdrawal symptoms!.
