I was thrilled to see these Dwarf Mongoose while on Safari in Taringarie National Park. They reminded me of the ferrets I used to raise when I was a young boy.

The Dwarf Mongoose is Africa's smallest carnivore reaching a length of 18 to 28 cm, and weighing in at 210 to 350 grams

Hi Ron,a magnificent scene showing us this mongoose family, all are watching in different directions, better that a guard group...ehhee...the pic is a bit oversharp for me,but the colors are very vivid, excellent post. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hi Ron,

The vegetation is framing well the animals. The point of view is showing the details of the Dwarf Mongoose. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

What a joy to know about your enjoyment during your safari in Taringarie National Park. This photograph with which you give us is of an amazing clarity and more amazing still the composition you have created, my friend. Congratulations!!!

I contribute the taxonomic data of this beautiful mini carnivore: Species: Helogale parvula; Genus: Helogale; Family: Herpestidae; Order: Carnivora; Class: Mammalia; Filo: Chordata; Animalia Kingdom; Domain: Eucarya.

Beautiful capture of these little cutie-pies, Ron.
This is a high quality picture with perfect focus and natural colors at the location in Tanzania.
Thanks and regards.

Hi Ron,

Excellent picture of the cute Mongoose family in the natural habitat. Superb details, clarity and color.

Warm Regards,

Hi Ron,
Nice family photo. The composition, how you used the dry grass as frame for the mongoose family is fantastic. Colors and lights are great as well - however, I agree with Luciano about the slight oversharpening.
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Excellent group shot - wonderful framing of the three animals which gives an idea of their shape.

Hello Ron,
Beautiful species; these Dwarf Mongoose. I like ODD number composition and well focus on them. Excellent and perfect BG. Sharpness bit high. You don't need to sharpen high those grass blades because your main focus is on three of them, in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing,
