[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the lion which portrait you saw 2 days ago and which was staring at a Zebra. Do not be afraid, the Zebra escaped.
Now to the problems of this hunting series: I made about 30 shots of this encounter which lasted very few seconds, many were completely out of focus due to the fact that the camera focussed between the two animals on the background and a few were perfectly well focussed on the Zebra's butt, BUT leaving the lion half cut.
I am still happy with this one where the lion seems to emerge from the high grass, which really happened that way

Hi Tom,a great opportunity and a magnificent way to take that, great details despite the quick mouvements and very original cut too,a drama for the zebra.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Hello Tom
what a nice action shot from famous African savanna. Great focus, POV/DOF and natural colors. Nicely presented. Although hunting is reality of life, I am pleasured escaping of zebra.
Thanks for sharing. All the best and have a nice weekend my friend.

Hello Tom

Damage that the lion is cut in the photo
(dommage que le lion est coupé dans la photo),
excellent action shot, i am happy that the zebra escaped,
probably with a lesser zoom lens having in the photo
also the environment of the animals the photo
would be more beautiful, TFS

Hello Tom,
A great action shot showing the lion doing what he does naturally. I like the long narrow panoramic framing and beautiful natural coloration. Well done!!

Very nice action shot. I don't think catching (framing) the lioness as you did takes anything away from the photo. Its very good. Nice action shot...congratulations.

Great picture with a lot of acction. Congratulation. Saludos.

Stupendous action shot, Tom. Even in the smaller version, it looks fantastic. This is a perfect freezing of the moment when the Lion enters the frame. The fast action is conveyed by the flying tail of the Zebra.
The image is sharp and crisp and the colours are very natural.

Hi! Despite of the movement the sharpness & detail of zebra is awesome.
