Bicycling in Tunisia:
On TN you saw this palaearctic butterfly species many times before. I want to present the subspecies Iphiclides podalirius (L.) feisthamelii, which is pure white and occurs in North Africa, Spain, Southern France. This animal has obviously escaped a bird attack, the eyes on the hind wing are missing.

Hello Dietrich,
What a lovely specimen you have presented to us. Reminds me somewhat of our tiger Swallowtails. I love the contrasting black, white, yellow and blue markings. The tails are quite long which give it a streamlined appearance. Great capture.
