The African Fish Eagle is a large bird, and the female, at 3.2-3.6 kg (7-8 lbs) is larger than the male, at 2-2.5 kg (4.4-5.5 lbs). Males usually have a wingspan of about 2 m (6 feet), while females have wingspans of 2.4 m (8 feet). The length is 63-75 cm (25-30 in). They are very distinctive in appearance with a mostly brown body and large, powerful, black wings. The head, breast, and tail of African Fish Eagles are snow white and the hook-shaped beak is mostly yellow with a black tip.

Hola Ferran,
A superb close portrait of the African Fish Eagle. The POV, pose and technical qualities are great. The composition is also fine but maybe it would have been a little more balanced with more space and more of the leaves visible in front of the eagle if you decided not to remove them altogether.
But it is an excellent capture and thanks for sharing it.
Saludos Ferran

Hello Ferran,
What a brilliant close-up of this elegant Eagle! The light is beautiful bringing out its beautiful colours and details very shaarp.
Framing is a little tight but nevertheless a great capture!
Many thanks and have a nice weekend, Ulla

Hi Ferran,

What I would do to get a shot of an Eagle like this! I think this is the first time I have seen an African Fish Eagle and it is a beauty. Lucky you to capture it posing like this for you. The face, eye, beak, wings and plummage are excellent. The size of the claws are amazing. I would have left more room in front of the bird but this is a nice composition.

very well done.

Hi Ferran

Good shot of this impressive raptor. I think it would have looked even better with some more room on the right of the image.
Great sharpness and POV.
