Hi everybody,
After my silence for a long time, I am here. In that time, I am sending a shot from Uganda trip in late January and early February 2015.

is a member of the family CERCOPITHECIDAE (PRIMATES). Males are a bit larger with a lenght of 50cm than females with 40cm. The species ranges from Ethiopia to South African Rep. in East and South Africa.
Thanks for your visits and comments. Best wishes.

Welcome back Ahmet,

an allround great shot.

Thanks for sharing;

How wonderful to see you posting again, Dr Ahmet!
This picture of a Vervet Monkey taken during your Ugandan trip recently is a very precious document. The features of this simian are very well captured. Wish we could see its eyes clearly, though!
Warm regards and expecting your regular appearance here on TN.

Hello Ahmet,

hallo Ahmet
super good picture with nice details and good sharpnes
the colours are beautiful
thanks gr lou

Hello Ahmet,
Great to see a post from you once again, and a beautiful one at that. A fine looking Vervet monkey in an attractive relaxed pose. Nicely marked with a colorful almost silky looking coat. The fallen tree makes a great perch allowing us to view it's unique features in excellent detail. With such a dark colored face this had to be a real challenge when determining the correct exposure. Well done!!
Hope you don't mind, but I wanted to see if I could bring out a tad more of it's facial features in a WS.

Excellent compo.
Sharp with a good DOF.
Perhaps even a bit over-sharpened or is his fur speckled with white dots?

Pin sharp photo with nice natural colors and excellent details.

Bonjour Ahmet,
Agréable valorisation du sujet.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
