[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This croc lived in a small pond next to the room we occupied while we lived in Zambia. I went to the pond looking for it and came too close to it without noticing it. It quickly made it clear that I was too close (taken from about 2 meters), but I'm not sure who had the bigger fright.
This croc was about a metre long, and did not seem to be too disturbed by people in the area. |

Hello Oscar,
This is a great capture of aNile Crocodile, the flash illuminating the gape very effectively. This is a sharp and excellent presentation.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hi Oscar and a belated but warm welcome to TN
This is really a terrific capture!
It's raelly very rare that we get the chanve to see wild crocs her on TN...so thanks for sharing.
You photo is realyl wonderful, with great details and natural colors.
The focus on its mouth and teeth is exceptional and the rather shallow DOF works really well here.
Superb work!
Bravo and TFS

Very nice sharpness and detail on head. Excellent exposure and beautiful colors. Good POV and timing with mouth open and teeth visible.
A close encounter apparently.
Well done, Oscar.

This is a stunning photo. The focus on the face and particularly the eye are superb and your composition is spot on.TFS.
