[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
if you look carefully you'll see that the leopard has 2 eyelids per eye. The outer one shuts out all the light, but here you can see an inner eyelids as well. It appears to be transparent and it goes from nose out towards the ears. In this photo the eyelids are just about cover half of the eyes. I have a couple of photos that show this inner eyelids, possibly used to protect the eyes during fights or hunts. This is all a guess on my part, I couldn't find anything on the internet regarding leopard's second eyelids.

Hi Sitthivet,

Very nice photo of the leopard. you must have been pretty close with a 200mm lens. Nice DOF and good eye contact.

Domestic dogs and cats have the second set of eyelids and I have also seen it on the raptor birds.
