Another, these time very simple landscape. I like the light here. I hope you like it ;-)

A cloud is a visible mass of droplets or frozen crystals floating in the atmosphere above the surface of the Earth or another planetary body. A cloud is also a visible mass attracted by gravity (clouds can also occur as masses of material in interstellar space, where they are called interstellar clouds and nebulae.) The branch of meteorology in which clouds are studied is nephology.

Clouds are divided into two general categories: layered and convective. These are named stratus clouds (or stratiform, the Latin stratus means "layer") and cumulus clouds (or cumuliform; cumulus means "piled up")

Hello Krzysztof,
It looks cold and wild :o) Well composed and exposed as usual.TFS

Well you have your wonderful archival collection. I'll bet w can have a them on this from now till the end times, but each shall be unique. Very well done and a season that only changes slightly...thank goodness for the northern Hemisphere but below the Arctic Circle way on the other side of this...Good show!

Hello Krzysztof,
Still don't know whether this is a stratiform or cumuliform. I think both actually but my nephology is quite basic;-).
I like the 'elements' in the image.
Well done

Hi Chris,
I know the picture gives the impression of being black and white, but isn't. That is the kind of true colour one sees in this part of the world in the given light conditions, I presume.
As usual, this is yet another extremely evocative shot from your trip to Antarctica.
Thanks for sharing it and best regards.

Hello Krzysztof,
Great lighting in a shot that with the grey skies and sea could almost be B&W, but I'm glad you left it as colour. Excellent composition too.
Thanks for sharing this fine antarctic image,
Have a good weekend, Ivan

Bravo, Krzysztof.
Excellent art picture. You have reflected the fine state of northern nature perfectly. Very impressive clouds, crisp sharp image of the shore and wonderful deep dark water surface. So refined work. My best regards.

Hi Krzysztof,
Another wonderful posting from Antartica and the ominuos clouds give a feeling of fear of things to come in an alien land. The distant mountains stand proudly and I like the light and shadow effect on the snow cover. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.

Hi Krzysztof!

I like your picture very much. It's a marvellous mountaineer scenery with all the necessary ingredients: sun, clouds, peaks and snow. The lighting is ecellent and the foregroung provides a deep contrast.

Kind regards

Hi Krzysztof

Sorry, but just a very short comment today :(
Not a simple landscape my friend...a great one indeed!
I really like the atmosphere here and the way you've enhanced the mood by letting so much of the frame be filled by those dark grey clouds. Very good composition indeed!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Krzysztof, fantastic view from Admiral bay, splendid light, very well done, ciao Silvio

Cześć Krzysiu
Wreszcie mam chwilkę na skomentowanie Twojego zdjęcia.
Rzeczywiście krajobraz jest bardzo ciekawie oświetlony. Dzięki temu zdjęcie jest tajemnicze.
Poza tym dobra kompozycja i świetna ostrość.

Patrzac na to zdjecia az sie ciesze, ze zima juz sobie poszla dawno ;) Dosc mroczna kompozycja tym razem, szczegolnie dzieki chmurom. Zapewne wlasnie przez zachmurzone niebo cale zdjecie znow sprawia wrazenie niemal czarno-bialej fotografii.
Pozdrawiam zyczac milego weekendu!

Yes, it is a lovely composition, Krzysztof - the snowy land and those stormy clouds all come together to make an awesome photo

Hello Krzysztof,
You know,I nearly went to Antarctica once, but would never have returned.
My mother booked me on an Air New Zealand sightseeing flight for my 21st birthday, but I cancelled. In those days I dind't appreciate the Antarctic landscape as I do now.
Sadly, that very flight crashed on Mt Erebus killing all on board.
This is a beautiful shot. A wonderful mood.
Excellent work.

Hi Krzysztof,

great shot with these low clouds. There is a particular atmosphere difficult to describe. Great shot.
Best regards

Hi Chris,
Almost a B&W, I like the hint of ice blue I see at the waters edge off center left. Great light too, it has added a 3D look to your mountains :)

Chris, this is a very good and beautiful shot. Thanks for commenting on my fly shot. Bill

Hi Krzysztof

This is somewhere I would love to go! Wonderfully moody shot, I love the sky and all the grey tones

Czesc Krzysztof,
I agree with you, the bset is light here, and grey tones also. A beautiful landscape, a magnific cold desolation.
