I would like to dedicte this collage to Evelynn Smith (Evelynn) for her great birds and mammals observations and great TN photos.

The Antarctic Fur Seal (Arctocephalus gazelle) is one of seven seals in the genus Arctocephalus. Around 95% of the world population breeds at South Georgia. It is named for the German naval vessel the SMS Gazelle which collected the first specimen from Kerguelen Island. The species is also known as the Kerguelen Fur Seal. Antarctic Fur seals are found mainly on the sub-antarctic islands of South Georgia, South Shetland, South Orkney, and South Sandwich, though today they are regularly seen farther and farther south on the Antarctic Peninsula.

Yoga is an Indian spiritual path aimed at achieving the union with the Supreme Consciousness. Some yogas go beyond it and aim at the spiritual transformation of the entire human nature and obtaining immortality even for the physical body. A practitioner of Yoga is called a Yogi (male) or Yogini (female). Outside India, yoga is mostly associated with the practice of asanas (postures) of Hatha Yoga or as a form of exercise.

Nothing better than a good archival Krz! I was even going to ask if you had run out of images of the area. Every one is a gem. Here we have a nice quad montage...all with different poses, yet all with same contrast, colours and clarity. A fine presentation of an under-pictured area of Earth! And a fine/genuine dedication!

Czesc Krzysiek!

Co tu duzo pisac - inny swiat! Piekna obserwacja foki w naturalnym srodowisku. Bardzo ladne technicznie i 'artystycznie' zdjecia. Straszny upal musial tam byc - prawie nie ma sniegu :-)

Hello Krzysz,
A fine montage showing the movements of a young Antarctic Fur Seal on the patchy snowy ground and BG Nice lighting and sharpness. A good tribute to Evelynn, a talented photographer on TN.

Hi Radomir

A worthy and well deserved dedication. I saw thousands of these on my trips to Antarctica - but came back with few shots! Each shot is sharp and well posed. Great work.

James

Oh my goodness!!! Thank you for the dedication. I feel special; and it is such a great collection of photos... beautifully exposed and sharp. I love all the poses. He is a tad more flexible than I. Perhaps I should take up yoga too. I like the top two as it looks like he found the only snow free patch to sit on. What a nice, bright antarctic day...probably not as warm as it looks. I have a recent grizzly photo that we titled "Yoga Bear" because of his interesting pose. (are you familiar with the cartoon character, "Yogi Bear"? I'll see if I can post it as a workshop here.

Thanks again!
Evelynn : )

Hello Krzysztof

A wonderful compilation shot of this Fur Seal.
We don't see too many of these on TN.
The focus is sharp and the details are very good.
I like the various poses.
I think Evelynn will get a kick out of this Yoga instructor.

Chris, you still keep on regaling us with wonderful pictures of your Antarctica trip last year.
I admire the caption you have given to this set of four Seal pictures. This cute little one really looks like demonstrating Yoga postures on the ice.
The light is very well used in these crisp images.
Thanks and regards.

Bonjour,
Agréable présentation bien documentée.
Bonne journée.

Hello Krzysztof,
This is one of the best in your great portfolio. I like this collage very much. Each of four shots and one on Workshop are great. From focus, composition and to POV and colors, all features great. good notes and title. Thanks for sharing, best wishes
Ahmet
