[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Reposted from the original which I thought was much overdone in PP. A late night session gone wrong. This is much closer to the natural version.

I watch the wonderful shots of every kind of flora and fauna pass through this site. Up till now I have never taken a picture of a flower. It's spring time here now, the snow is melting, the rain is falling, and for a few weeks there is beauty to be found.

PP crop, The sky was fading fast behind a storm. Sharpened just the flower and stems, brightened(+3), contrast(+2) and saturate(+2) to the petals to make them pop a little. This time I left the sky alone since any change I made to it affected the OOF ridgeline in a negative way. As I said it's closer to original than before.

Very beautiful ! I love the bright colors of the flowers and the DOF, the blue moutains in the BG are great. Good sharpness and details, too. Well done.
Valerie.

Hi Sean,
Beautiful photo with a beautiful DOV. The flowers stand out perfectly against the mountains. The gradient sky is excellent. I can understand you concern about the sharpness, but I also like the softness of it that is imo related with spring.

Niek

BTW, I am glad I could help out with the trick on the sky.

Hi Sean,
excellent shot. Very well done postwork by now.
Nothing to crop, nothing to add: perfect.
Thank you for taking me to that distant and very beautiful place I have never been before.
Best regards,
Peter
