[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo 2 days ago at midday and it was hot. However the midday sun light was perfect for taking photos and this lttie dragonfly was very cooperative.
The bright light on this day highlighted the BG well and helped bring out the colours on the dragonflies body well.

Hi Matt

Great view with lovely warm colours and shrap focus. Good isolation from the BG too.

Hi Matthew,

I took the same insect yesterday, too. I know that this kind dragon flies are very shy and it is so difficult to capture them. They dont permit to come closer them. Immediately run out. But I noticed that if you can be patient and you don't move, you can capture. Actually it is too difficult to wait without moving under the midday sun in a hot and moist place.

You have done it very well. As you told, midday light was very helpful. All detail looks super. Bravo

Greetings

A golden dragon in the golden sunlight.
Hi Matthew, that's a nice one and sitting there so decorative for you, a good model, thanks

Hello Matt,
The excellent DOF and fine POV combine to make this a fine capture of this beautiful dragonfly (I guess the female of the species).
Excellent use of fill flash and fine blurred natural BG. Well done and TFS!
Regards, Ivan

Hekllo Matthew,
Very good sharpness, for example the wings and a nice composition.

There is a difference between your dragonflies in yours as per mine. In yours, you actually capture the dragonfly...while in mine, I capture only the perch. I shall keep trying...

Bob

Hi Matthew.
Once more interesting dragonfly shot. I like how you have selected upper POV. The view is so impressive. DOF is really great. All image of the insect is in focus. It is not an easy task. Lighting and saturation of the colours are wonderful as well as the superbly exact composition. My compliments and TFS.
Alexei.
