[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This upside down butterfly is named the Gray Pansy or Grey Pansy (Junonia atlites), which is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in Southern China, or South Asia. You can see from the pic, there are a series of whitish ovals with dusky or black-centred spots in them. Some ovals are big with brown and black relatively big spots, which look like eyes as sort of camouflage to protect them from preditors. And in between, there are usually one or two small ovals. The light purple and white markings on the underside are very delicate, slender and somewhat obsolescent.
From the pic, you can see both the upperside and underside wings. I like this upside down pose. Thanks for viewing and critiques.
