[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
First of all, I'm sorry to have cropped the length of this pic too much so as to cut my lovely Sailer's wing tip a little bit due to the required limitation of 800 pixels in length. It was two months ago when I took this photograph. I remember there was a lot of sun that day and you can see I captured this butterfly from a lower point of view so that I could see the beautiful patterns very clearly on the almost transparent underside wings. It was really a wonderful view.
A very brief information of this species:
Neptis hylas, sometimes known as the Common Sailer, is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in South Asia, Southeast Asia and South China. It has a characteristic stiff gliding flight achieved by short and shallow wingbeats just above the horizontal. |

Hello Mr.John,
Nice to see an experimental shot which shows us frontal part of this Butterfly.Nice sharpness with beautiful dark BG.Like its pose.
I think if you reduced the pixel little bit,you need not to cut its wing. What you think?
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice day,
Srikumar
