[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a rare species called the Toothed Sunbeam, which I captured yesterday morning at the Plum Dell, Baiyun Hill. I was so excited to see this species for the first time. After I took a couple of shots, I found its wings closed and I was stunned to see its white underside wing. But just as I was standing up to have a good point of view to shoot its white wings, she flew away. What a disappointment! This is a female with white patches on its upperside wings while a male brown patches. Both the sexes have white underside wings.

The Toothed Sunbeam (Curetis dentata) is a species of lycaenid or blue butterfly found in Asia.

A very cute butterfly this rare Toothed Sunbeam (What a name!). An interesting species!
Well chosen composition, nice color-contrast, sharpness could have been slightly better.
