I captured this beautful Redbase Jezebel on the Baiyun Hill this afternoon. It was the first time I saw it with its wings wide open. I remember I posted this species with its wings closed so that its underside wings could be seen. This time its upperside wings are visible.
The Redbase Jezebel is a medium sized butterfly of the Family Pieridae, that is, the Yellows and Whites. The species is found in parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia and South China.

It is a delight to watch the open wings of this exotic species of Whites, John.
