[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photograph of Aquilegia (A. vulgaris?) was taken in Kunming which has a very mild climate and is world famous for its flowers. Occuring in the northern hemisphere, columbines grow at fairly high altitudes. Situated in the southwest of China at 1890 metres above sea level, the annual day temperature range at Kunming is between 15 and 25 degrees centigrade. The beautiful World Horticultural Expo Garden is a famous landmark and there are many other flower markets in the city.

Bonjour Neels,
L'angle de prise de vue de cette macro est remarquable et le cadrage serré particulièrement judicieux pour apprécier la finesse des détails du sujet.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hello Neels,

Amazing details in this fine close-up!
The texture in the petals is outstanding, while the delicate colours are pleasantly reproduced...
Tight framing works well, nicely blurred back to enhance the subject!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Neels,
One of my favourite flowers! You have taken a very powerful picture of this fine pink species. Lovely color-conrast with the green background. Columbines have so many different colorations, I have some of this tint on my alpine meadow too, but I don't know either if it is A. vulgaris, which is mostly blue.
Thanks and kind regards
Anne

Hi Neels,
Beutiful Columbine Neels. Spot on focus and DOF. Love the colors and Green background.
We have Columbine in North America but I don't think its the same species.
Well done.
