[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I remember I posted this species before showing only the underside wings. Today I'll show you the upperside wings. It was sunny that day when I captured it, so you can see sun light and shadows upon its wide open wings. As the original size is too large, so I cropped and cropped until its spreading out wings almost touched the frame. Sorry for that uncomfortable composition...

This species of butterfly is called "the Chocolate Pansy or Chocolate Soldier" in English and its scientific name is Junonia iphita, which is found in Asia.

Hello John,
Nice macro but I think 1/100 was not fast enough to get optimum sharpness and details. Beautiful natural colours, nicely contrasting against the green background.
