ChestNut Shouldered Petronia

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Last one week I was touring the tiger bastion of India; Kanha & Bandhavgarh. Apart from thriving wildlife in the Tiger reserves, I also had the opportunity to capture different avian species. I found this Chestnut Shouldered Pretonia near the forest lodge.
These are residents of the indian subcontinent; ranging from Pakistan till Indian peninsula but unrecorded in the Eastern part of India. These birds have Sparrow like bill but a lot slender body. Have uniform brownish grey head & upperparts with yellow patch on lower throat. These birds have chestnut lesser coverts & prominent white double wing-bar. |
