[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was one of the numerous thrilling & enthralling moments of my recent jungle trip...we were in pursuit of this female tiger since early morning as we got only a glimpse of this tigress early on disappearing into the dense bamboo forest of Bandhavgarh. We were almost near the exit gate of the park when the driver spotted some movement inside the thick bamboo thicket on our right. Thereafter, started the repeated alarm calls of the barking deers & the langurs. After waiting for almost 15 minutes (which seemed like an hour), the majestic beast came out on the road just crossing the fireline just in front of us.

This tigress has been named 'Kankatiya' by the forest officials as the left eye & the left ear got damaged during a territorial fight with another tiger in the forest zone.

Thanks for viewing....

Hello Satirtha,
Yes, this must be very exciting. The waiting was it worth. Beautiful photo of this tiger in a good composition, excellent sharpness and nice natural colours. Sad for the damaged eye and ear.
Regards,
Peter

Lucky to have finally got the great Tigress within your lens, Satirtha. Excellent picture. Feel sorry for the empty eye socket of the majestic creature.
Thanks and regards.
