[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The white-throated Kingfisher is the most commonly found Kingfisher species in the sub-continent. It is a widespread resident often found sitting on the power cables within our urban concrete jungles. Though, this one was shot in its natural surrounding in the Sultanpur National Park.

I was intrigued by its pose as it seemed that it had its focus on some distant prey.

Full power of Tamron 150-600mm at your command, Satirtha. You have used it with dexterity. This lens is on my wish list too. Did you use tripod? I have been to Sultanpur once but felt the futility of it without a lens like yours.
Wonderful image with perfect sharpness and colours. The off centre composition is delightful.

Beautiful bird, in a very nice picture. Thank you for sharing the picture, it is the first time that I see this Kingfisher species.
Saludos.

Hi Satirtha,
That's an excellent photo, eventhough the kingfisher was positioned a little too closed to the edge of the frame. But exposure, sharpness, depth, colors all look fabulous, and yes, the bird's pose is very exciting, too, with beautiful eye contact. Great shot, congratulations!
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Hello Satirtha,
Your Tamron 150-600mm has done a great job of photographing this beautiful kingfisher. What a long bill it has for the size of the bird. The focus is sharp and the exposure is perfect. Wonderful eye contact with just a bit of that ever sought after catchlight visible.
