|Found this Barn Swallow perched on one of the bamboo poles in Basai Wetlands in Gurgaon (the city where I live). These are very active birds; always in flight & are seldom found sitting on a perch.|
Thanks for viewing.

Excellent capture, Satirtha! Just perfect colour tones -- especially the metallic sheen on the plumage. Some years ago when my son was residing in Gurgaon, I used to go looking for birds in and around the city (including Sultanpur bird sanctuary) during my visits from Jammu. There was an artificial wetland created by affluence from nearby residential buildings on Faridabad road where I used to find some water birds.

Hi Satirtha, this is a great pic,no doubts. Not easy to take so well the black plumage of the swallow, the metallic reflections of light are amazing, and the sharpness is very high too, well done! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano
