[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I shot this photograph standing at 18,380 feet above sea level from Khardung La ("La" in Tibet means "Pass"). Khardung La is world's highest motorable pass. The saturated blue color of the sky is natural at this altitude. It is approximately 25 miles uphill on a rough terrain. If you are not acclimitized to this altitude you are not advised to stay here for more than half an hour to avoid acute mountain sickness.

Great shot. The interesting thing is four years back when I visited this point, at the army post I met a jawan who hailed from a village near Kanyakumari. The man from the south end guards a northern point.
