The High Altitude Cold Desert
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This cold desert is situated at 15,000 feet ASL en-route Nubra Valley from Leh, situated after North Pullu. One has to cross Khardung La pass (18,380 feet ASL) to reach these areas which are look alike "Martian Terrain" in the rain-shadow zone of the Greater Himalayas, Ladakh.|
I have posted this photograph just to tell you that I am still active on TN & would remain so :)

Hi Subhash,a new and very interesting pic from your fantastic trip,it seems to be on the moon, impressive place and excellent quality pic whit a great point of view. Thanks for share, have a nice weekend,LUCIANO.
Images like these should be featured in Geography books or encyclopaedias about Geographical rock formations. The feeling one get looking at mountains with the formations so beautifully seen is incredible, and it feels as if I am there at the top looking down at the curves and lines of this beautiful piece of nature. It is really beautiful and the effect it had on my eyes and mind is magic. The lovely blue sky complement the earthy colours so well. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
The prominent strata is ver interesting.
