The Biggest Barrier !!!
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|See, how this gigantic geographical barrier of Great Himalayas' has stopped the flow of monsoon clouds towards Ladakh (on your Right side of the photograph is Ladakh), making Ladakh an absolute rain shadow zone (where monsoon clouds cannot reach). |
The photograph is taken from almost 45,000 feet ASL over Great Himalayas.

striking landscape, TFS Ori
A wonderful aerial view and good photo under the circumstances.
Reading your notes and then checking the image, the Himalayan ranges do indeed feel like one big series of dams stopping the clouds in their tracks.
