Bhaderwah Mountains

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I wrote with my previous picture that my wife and I tried to do a rough mountain journey from my town Jammu to my native place in Himachal Pradesh state contiguous to where I live. The effort proved futile since the rough dirt road beyond a high pass got blocked by a landslide and we had to turn around.
On the morning of our second day of journey, I took this picture from the tourist resort we were staying in at Bhaderwah town. The morning was a bit cloudy and the light was dull. Though this area does not have Himalayan mountains dominating the horizon, we can see a bit of them to the north east. I had to use my 18-200mm lens in zoom mode to take a closer view of them and enhance contrasts to show them better than the wooded ridge in the foreground.
Hope you like it. |

Hello Ram,
You have given us just a tiny glimpse of the Himalayan Mtns. and even it is quite impressive. Snow capped as I would have expected and jutting straight up with their jagged edges. Your 18-200MM lens performed wonderfully for you. Well done!!
