Yellow footed green pigeons are abundant in this region of UP and Rajasthan. In bengali they are called Holdepa Horial
There were many sitting on the tree some snoozing and some preening ...(as usual).I frankly find it amazing how they snooze on tree without falling from it. In the month of dec -jan-feb...One can see these pigeon including peacock roaming around the berry trees( short one for peacock and big ones for yellow footed pigeon) which grows abundant in the interior of Mathura. |
