[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today morning, I gave another try to my recently cleaned camera body, using my 70-300mm lens. There are some resident Purple Sunbirds in the large garden of my son's residential complex, so I was able to get one male within the frame. I'm satisfied that there is no more dirt inside my camera.

The Purple Sunbird (Cinnyris asiaticus) is a small sunbird. Like other sunbirds they feed mainly on nectar, although they will also take insects, especially when feeding young. They have a fast and direct flight and can take nectar by hovering like a hummingbird but often perch at the base of flowers. The males appear all black except in some lighting when the purple iridescence becomes visible. Females are olive above and yellowish below.

Hello Ram,
Nice photo of this bird. Have you seen the bird on your screen at 150% or more? You can see better the halo around the bird and branches. A pity. Beautiful colours, background and composition.
Regards,
Peter

Hello Ram,
Nice to read that you enjoy your clean camera :-) The bird however wasn't sure about your intentions, if I look at its eye!
Good special composition, sharpness could be a tiny better.
Kind regards
Anne

I have seen it pierce hibiscus flowers at its bottom - from outside - and take whatever nectar is in it. My friend showed me this after holes were noticed in the flowers! Is this different from the 'purple-rumped sunbird'? Nice picture. IMO, the dry leaves on the left add some variety!
