Hi Goldy, These are wonderful birds and your done well to shoot them. In fact i also shoot most of the birds from the car and i have good collection of these Bee eaters in TN :-). There is a significant difference in coloration of these beautiful birds from south to north. And it looks like you have done substantial cropping.

Nice shot Goldy. Inspite of moving vehicles you have captured it neatly. Great work. I love this bird.

Excellent use of your 2S IS to achieve this nice capture of a Blue-tailed Bee-eater. The Bee-eater stands ou well against the OOF natural BG on the top of the thin twig perch, which is typical.
Thanks and all the best,
This is an interesting species of Bee Eaters, Goldy.
I suggest you get off the truck for bird photography with a purpose and shoot birds, preferably using a tripod.
The camera you have has great potential and many people use it with extraordinary skill, producing excelent results.
The eye of a bird, IMHO, is the essence of close-up bird imagery and that's what is amiss in your otherwise well composed shot.

Beautiful photo of this bee-eater. Good clear colours and DOF. Excellent sharpness and details. On some places on the edges it's a bit noisy, like along the beak. Very nice OOF BG and composition.

Nice one Goldy..It doesn't give that oriental quality which is so common and I think it is because of your unique framing. I like it well this way...not better...not less...just like!

This is a fine shot, sharply focussed and using a good dof.
The bird is incredibly sleek.
It will easily blend in with the leaves on a tree.
I love the acrobatic pose on the very tip of that fragile stem!!

This is such a beautiful Bee-eater and so sleek looking in this pose on the branch. You do good jobs from moving trucks!! Pretty colors and excellent details of his face and feathers. A pleasing and colorful background that blends with the bird's colors.

Bello conjunto de colores Goldy, con un fondo muy acertado. Buen encuadre. Luz mejorable en algunos puntos pero aún así una belleza de toma .

You captured this fine looking bird in a wonderful pose showing off his nice profile, the beautiful colours and finely detailed plumage. The pose against the blurred background is great so also the combination of colours. For a shot from a moving truck this is good. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

An amzing picture, the colors of the bird's plumage are just reflecting the colors on the environment. And you made a simple but very efficent composition of it. Very well done, Goldy
Thanks and kind regards

The pôint of view is showing the details and colors of the Blue-tailed Bee-eater on the branch. The subject is well framed. The blurred background is putting the bird in evidence in the composition. The luminosity is enhancing the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

What a wonderful one there too...
As I started taking bird shots my attention in watching pics also is turning to birds these days, so I spotted this one from your gallery. You achieved very nice narrow dof for a small sensor like your cam has. It's only a pity that file sizes force jpeg compression to be visible on our pictures but it's not your fault we all have to deal with it.
Colors also are nice, showing the beauty of the species. TFS!
