[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Asian Pintail is a small dragonfly belonging to the Libellulidae family. It is a common species found near water bodies and grasslands.

The shape of its abdomen helps to easily distinguish from other dragonflies. Also known as Bulb-bodied Skimmer and Trumpet-Tail, due to this peculiar shape.

Photo taken from Kottayam, Kerala.

How lovely.
Great B/G colours to accompany the sky blue on this species.
Greetings from Mario in Canada.

That's a wonderful shot of a dragonfly we rarely see here on TN, Abhinav.
Excellent sharpness, colours and composition.

Hello Abhinav

What a great animal! It is very different and beautiful! Thank you for sharing such a great dragonfly. Congratulation. Saludos.

Hi Abhinav,
Due to the point of view the wings are out of focus, but the abdomen's tack sharp and the colors are well saturated. Nice composition as well and perfectly chosen aperture to mish-mash the background - it helps the viewer so much to isolate the subject from the background. Excellent and spectacular work overall. Bravo!
Best regards, László
