|Hello respected elders,|
Thank you to everyone who gave their kind words of encouragement on my last upload.
I am excited to present my next capture. This is not as fine as my earlier presenation. But this was a capture where i used my dad's 3x zoom camera and also where i managed all settings by myself.I hope you will find this capture of mine interesting.
Unlike most dragonflies pied paddy skimmers are slow and weak in flight. This is a female specimen. The males differ signigicantly in color. In my language which is malayalam it is called 'swami thumbi'.
Thank you to Philippe Moniotte (pgmoni) for helping me with the ID.
Thanks for your visit.

your image is not perfect, but it is a good try. The depth of field especially, is too far from the camera, leaving the wings closer to us out of focus : a common difficulty with dragonfly photos.
Overall a pleasant picture of this (I think) female Neurothemis tullia (family libellulidae)
nice capture, must be a Neurothemis,
Keep on trying,
