Friends,

From Birds to Insects. I had posted the picture of Wood Spider a few weeks back. This is the picture of the same spider (or spiders) from Thattekadu. Both the spiders you see are of the same specie. The large spider is female and the small spider on top is the male.

You can also see a water drop on the back of the female spider. This got added from previous day's rain.

Regards,
Murali Santhanam

Wow! What a great macropicture of these spiders! I'd really like to know what kind of spider this is.

It's really sharp detailed, and the female got some beautiful colours! a really nice DOF for a great detailed body of both the spiders. You cought a great moment with the male on the back of the female. Congratulations for this one, and TFS

Hello Murali !
This is an awesome picture ! I did not know that the difference between male and female could be so huge, it is really amazing ! The details are excellent and the female's colors are very beautiful. The blurred BG is excellent too, it makes the spiders stand out nicely. Very well done !
Valerie.

The difference in sizes is remarkable, Murali.
Both the spiders are very well captured. The visible female has an ornate exterior with fine colours and patterns. The male looks ordinary in comparison.
TFS and regards.
