[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This python was a regular outside my neighbour's henpen for almost half a year.
Then one day,out of the blue, he went missing.
A massive python-missing hunt was launched by our neighbourhood only to find him (or her as we later found out) here amongst these fallen autmn leaves nearby a bamboo plantation protecting her eggs.

Seeing us, she was all over her eggs with aggressive vigor and on a relentless vigil!!

Welcome to TN, this is fine image of rarely seen python protecting its eggs, good natural history image. tfs.

nice picture and nice story. I wish the head was a little more visible. seeing this I am glad I didn't find any dutch vipers on my viper excursions earlier in the year ;)
