|The Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) is a small white heron. |
This picture was taken in the outskirts of Cochin, India in Feb 2012.
Little Egrets eat fish, insects, amphibians, crustaceans, and reptiles. They stalk their prey in shallow water, often running with raised wings or shuffling its feet to disturb small fish. They may also stand still and wait to ambush prey.
Its breeding distribution is in wetlands in warm temperate to tropical parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. In warmer locations, most birds are permanent residents; northern populations, including many European birds, migrate to Africa and southern Asia. They may also wander north in late summer after the breeding season, which may have assisted its current range expansion.
Globally, the Little Egret is not listed as a threatened species.

Bom dia Sunil
Excellent in flight capture of the little egret.Wonderful colours and light, and great sharpness also.I think that if You place the bird of centre the result will be better.Just my opinion.
Have a good day!
ps: I tried to do a workshop but the file is too little. You can upload 800x600 pix,300 kb

Beautiful photo in beautiful colours and good sharpness. Attractive pose, so a great timing. Like I said before, you can cut off a piece from the left side to get the bird more out of the centre for a better composition. Most space in front of the bird.
L'attitude du sujet est belle et originale dans une lumière bien maîtrisée mais il me semble qu'il manque d'un tout petit peu de profondeur de champ.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
