Friends,

When I think about beach my mind always goes back to those lovely waves and crabs. When I took out my camera in search of crabs in Goa but to my disappointment I did not find even one near the shore. But the baywatch guy told me that I can find them plenty on the rocks. The only problem is the approach. The rocks are 2-3 meters away from the shore and one has to walk carefully to get in. The waves were really scary but still I hold my breath and decided to get in. The rocks were absolutely slippery and I when I reached there I found some of them on the top of the rocks. The moment they hear the vibrations phew gone. The baywatch guy told me to keep stay calm for 10mts and they will come. Finally the big fella came....yes he is coming...Click click click.

Thank for reading and it was lovely when i came back to the shore I was amazed to see where i was standing to take the shot.

Goes to prove to what extent a nature photographer can turn into a daredevil when there is an exciting chance of shooting a good picture, Ganesan.
Your venture has borne fruit in this case. The image of this huge Crab is just great. The focus is spot on and I am thrilled to look at those eyes on the stems.
Great colours and a fine composition.
Well done and TFS.
Ram

Hi Ganesh ji,
A nice capture of this beautiful crab. Excellent composition and sharp details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

A fine macro-capture indeed under most difficult conditions Ganesh, the crusty red sponges on the rocks provide a nice contrast with the lovely crab with protruding eyes, all in good focus. TFS my friend.

Hi Narayanan,
Wow....excellent shot of this ghost crab with very impressive sharpness and details. Your low POV from your chosen vantage place has given you a fabulous perspective and you have done a skillful job here. The red rocks looks great and the crab is nicely positioned. The bright sunlight and spot-on focus has surely helped in bringing out the details. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Ganesh,

I have said before that we do many risky things to get a picture! And this was worth the risk - especially since you didn't slip. Wonderful shot of this crab in excellent detail. The eyes are amazing.

Hi Narayanan,
We don't get to see many crabs on TN, so it is a pleasure to see this one. He looks really good on the wet red - orange rocks. Good focus and details too.
