I took this picture in the Dona Paula beach - Suicide point. The water was literally sparkling with the sunshine. I took this shot in the evening.

Story 1

Named after Dona Paula de Menezes, this place is called the Lovers Paradise due to a myth that has been attached to this place. According one legend the Viceroy's daughter after facing objections from her family about her love affair with a poor fisherman jumped of the cliff.

Story 2
Another legend says that punished for captivating Francisco de Tavora, the Count of Alvor with her charm the Viceroy's daughter was pushed off a cliff to drown in the waters below. Her irrepressible spirit still continues to haunt every visitor with legends of her lovers. She is even supposed to have been seen emerging from moonlit waves wearing only a pearl necklace.

Goa is known all over the world for its wonderful beaches. The most popular are the Calangute beach (16 km from Panjim) known for its enthralling beauty and the Dona Paula beach (7 km from Panjim) which has water-scootering facilities. The Dona Paula has a suicide point where we get a splendid view of the water below. According to me whoever wants to commit suicide must go to that point and I am sure seeing the view there, the person will completely forget about the mere idea of ending his life. The Arambol beach (50 km from Panjim) is a unique beach which has a sweet water pond right on the shore and hundreds of shops lining its entrance selling typical Goan shirts with floral designs and bright colors. Some of the other beaches are Anjuna, Bagha, Colva, Miramar and Vagatore beaches.

You have done complete justice to the beauty of this wonderful beach with this fanatstic composition. Your landscape composition skills come out clearly in this capture that bring the elements of sun and th sea together. The rocks and the breaking surf is beautiful. And the horizon far away add good DOF to the composition.
Very well done.
TFS & Cheers

Hi Ganesh,
As you mentioned the sparkling in the water is amazing. Good composition keeping the rock on one side of the frame

Hello Narayanan. Beautiful glow and reflection on the water's surface. Good sharpness and the wave hitting the rock is stunning. A slight tilt in the horizon which can easily be corrected. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hi Ganesh Ji,
A lovely capture of this beautiful seascape. But in my opinion a bit more sky would have been even better. Anyway Lovely golden hues. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Nice seascape - A good visual and framing.

Hi Narayanan,
Beside from the slightly tilted horizon, the mood and simplicity of this photo is great. Just a simple rock, one breaking wave and the golden glow makes for a great photo.
