[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was hunting for the Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher in the dense forest undergrowths , when this beauty just landed for a few seconds .
Total length 20-23 cm (8-9 in). Males of this small thrush have uniform grey upperparts and orange head and underparts. Females and sub-adults have olive-brown upperparts and tail.
Found in forest, plantations and secondary growth with some thickets.

Like most Zoothera thrushes it can be quite secretive. At least partially crepuscular. It is omnivorous, eating a wide range of insects, earthworms and fruit. They nest in trees. They do not form flocks.

Hello Rakesh,
A warm welcome to TN. You start with a very beautiful photo of a very special bird. Fantastic composition, excellent sharpness, details and splendid light, colours and dark BG.
Hope to see a lot more.
Only, there's a bit too much text in the photo, but that's personal.

Hello Rakesh,
Welcome to TN!
This is one of the best captures of the Orange-headed thrush that I have seen!
This makes an excellent photo to start your TN adventure.
The POv is ideal and taken with superb sharpness and natural lighting.
I have seen this species in Goa but that was before I had a digital camera!
Thanks and best regards,
