Friends, you have already seen this Blue Pansy with Chinese Rosebud; I posted the picture some time ago.
However, this is a different shot and a bit surprising for me too. This time I found another subject within the frame, of course, taken unintentionally. Can you spot it?
Well, there it is -- a tiny Spider clinging to the Chinese Rosebud!
I had taken 7 shots of this butterfly during my visit to Rajasthan in September 2008. In my search for a fresh picture from my archives, I came across this unedited image from that shoot -- the best one of the series in my own reckoning. Hope you like it too.

Blue Pansy is the prettiest in the family of Pansies found in India, mainly because of its blue colour. Peacock Pansy in the second best and I have had the privilege of shooting both of them in the past couple of years and sharing them with you.

Thanks for looking.

Hello Sir,
I am yet to get a neat shot of an open winged Blue Pansy. And here you are with another of them (from your Ajmer visit) neatly captured showing off the beautiful designs on the inside of its wings with soft velvety texture.I like the PoV and the composition a lot as it incorporates the environment around the Pansy without compromising on the details on its wings. The greens around in slight OOF and of course the rose bud and spider round off the scene well.
Thanks for sharing.
You know, I am smiling but apparently they dont have enough for me today to show!

Hi Ram!

Three delightful subjects in a row... Well seen, and so well done. The butterfly is very beautiful, and I like the complementary rose in your composition. This creates a magnificent diversion and the rose is closed as if it would tell the viewer that the butterfly is the main subject. The colours are natural and well highlighted by a good lighting.

Kind regards

Hello Ram,
A very attractive image, a colourful composition of the Blue Winged Pansy sunning itself on a rose bush. The natural colours and sharpness with the little spider on the rose-bud all contribute to an image that is a joy to view, especially when we are virtually snowed in!
Thanks and all the best,

Hi Ram

A beautiful species, I do like blue butterflies. Great composition, excellent sharpness, details and DOF.

Hi Ram,

It looks really very impressive. The BF is so colourful and uncommon to find (even impossible in my country) find for me. You captured it very well from an artistic POV. I like this. The plant must be a Hibiscus rosa-chinensis (in Turk. Japon Gülü = Japanese rose). It's bud was capturated as well as the BF. Bravo my dear Friend, and thanks for sharing.

Hello Ram.
Well composed, great POV here. Very nice color, DOF, sharp detail and a great looking specimen. It sets the butterfly free from the background.Very good sharp details .Best regards Siggi

An enchanting trio Ram, but that Blue Pansy on green leaves is something else again. Your selective focus usage left even the immediate leaves below OOF, creating a pleasant 3-D effect and the offset placement of the b.fly provided us with a pleasant composition. TFS it indeed my friend!

Bonjour Ram,
Missed somehow this beautiful and poetical butterfly picture. There is already an interesting story in the title you gave to your shot! Very balanced and well composed picture with natural colors and excellent sharpness. The well chosen place by the Blue Pansy on the upper leaf makes the whole appear almost in 3D. Very fine and pleasing shot.
I wish you a very nice weekend.
Kind regards
