|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This is another photo of the endangered Indian Skimmer found on the sand banks of India's cleanest River - Chambal. My previous posting of this species involved couple of Skimmers with interesting behavior but this one was alone and far from the other Skimmers. |
It's a bit challenging to focus on the birds from the boat, bobbing up & down with the waves. However, that's the only way to photograph these birds as one is not allowed to get down on any of the islands with the Skimmer population. The tiny catch light has at least made it possible to see the eye of the Skimmer.
Thanks for viewing.

A wonderful close-up shot of this beautiful lone Indian Skimmer. Taken from an attractive low POV while displaying nice detail and rich natural colors. I like the eye contact you made with a tad bit of catchlight.
Despite the motion of the boat on the river, you have obtained a pin sharp image of this beautiful bird, Satirtha.
I like the colours on the bird, especially the matching bill and feet.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful image.
