This is lemon pansy with wing closed. The composition is good.
1. The picture is slightly overexposed.
2. I think you were slightly off parallel to the subject

Hi Ganesh,
a brilliant shot.
Very sharp and detailed.
Sorry I don't know what it is!
Well done,

This is a much better image from your recent trip to Kerala, Ganesan.
You have captured this butterfly quite well, showing the colours, patterns and designs on its underwings.
I think Goutham has a point about slight over-exposure.
Anyway, well done and TFS.

Hi Ganesh, very nice shot of this butterfly. Details are very clear. Only wish the larger eyespot had been visible though. TFS. Cheers, Uma

Lovely butterfly and a nice background. Check your metering mode to control overexposure.

The detail is certainly highlighted, and I like the composition. It is a bit overexposed and I am sure you keep the next ones down a little.
A very good find!

Hello Ganesh,
Were it not for the slight over-exposure and little blurriness of the hindwing this would have been a fantastic shot.
As it is, it is mostly sharp and well composed against a fine contrasting bokeh BG, all of which make it nice to see.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan
