The crow pheasant or the Greater Coucal is a large brown and black crow-like bird - often seen walking around on open ground, in IIT Kanpur. Shot near the air strip in the morning at around 7:00 hrs. IST.

Good shot! The eyes are sharp and the background also gives a beautiful effect to the picture.

Very unusual creature. It almost made me think of genetic manipulation. Never heard of it, yet it is common. Well noted sir.'

Hello Subhayan,
Good capture of the bird i think is an immature crow pheasant. Though i have seen the mature ones, this is the first time i am coming across a juvenile. (Infact i even confused it with a female koel.)Well captured shot and thanks for the share,

Hola Subhayan,
Buena toma de este curioso pájaro, bonita pose con nitidez y detalles, saludos
