Emigrant Eye-to-eye
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a Common Emigrant doing two things at a time, perhaps... sucking nectar from the Zinnia flower and looking at me, from a distance of about 6 feet. On a sunny day, in fact yesterday.
There was an ugly dark, almost black b/g of some darker leaves showing from a tree branch way back, on the picture's top left which I have modified using simple MS Paint - spray, using chosen colour from the picture. But I left that smaller area on the left of the picture which is not a hindrance, but adds to depth [I think]. And a little bit of sharpening using Neat Image + a shade darker using Picasa. I was happy to get this result and I'm happy to share it with you. This is from my Panasonic FZ8, with a macro zoom 12x.
