Hi Pankaj

Congratulations on the 100th posting of this family of butterflies. So, after 100 postings you probably shot a couple of thousand photos all together of these insects and I think this posting shows your growth and expertise on the subject. I really like it.

A great shot placing the visual focus strongly on the subject as the only other item in view is the leaf. Maybe a pity that it came slightly in the way, but that's a minor nit as it is only a partial obstruction. The dark OOF and isolated BG is a positive feature of this shot as it promotes the slighter coloured subject. Good details and lovely natural colours.

I too shot one of the sub-species of this tiny butterfly recently and believe me, it is not easy to shoot them to your satisfaction, Pankaj. 18 out of 20 shots of it I took turned out to be pretty bad.
By using fill flash, you have isolated the subject very effectively to focus on its salient characteristics. The leaf it sits on provides the scale for its size.

My God a hundred pictures of these small beauties- Amazing!! I am impressed.:)
As for this picture, it is as beautiful as your other pictures. I liked the composition and the black background. I do agree with Loot that the leaf does come in the way to fully appreciate the beautiful butterfly. But on the other hand, i was thinking , it does give an unusual presentation- as if it is being offered in a palm.:)Anyway it is a joy to look at.

Very cute scene. Only two nice objects create a wonderful composition. A bit back POV is so attractive as well as the dark smooth BG. Sharpness and details of the subject are great. Well done and kind regards.

Aha! the flash saved your winderful image. Do you use the normal flash on the camera of something else? It works out jut fine..almost as if you diffused it in some way. When I use a flash if I really must, the I try to use it as a bounce flash...which is extremely hard in such a situation as this...Well framed!

A lovely simple shot.
I like the composition and wide crop.
Good sharpness and detail.
Superb lighting from your flash that has rendered the BG almost completely black which has made the light-coloured butterfly stand out very well.
