Hello KV Vral,
a great shot. Very sharp and well blurred background. Lovely positioning of the insect.
Great timing to have this insect shot beautifully.

You have pulled off a brilliant image with those camera settings, KV. I would end up with a lot of noise with my Nikon D200 at those settings, which you haven't.
Would it be right to call a Swift a Skipper too?
Because I shoot these insects with moth/butterfly looks quite frequently. Like I shot a mating pair only yesterday which I might post today or later.
If you used your 70-300mm Sigma without a tripod in this shot, you have a pair of very steady and strong hands. It is a heavy lens.
Best regards,

Hi whatever your real name,
you have put together a good gallery of butterfly shots. This one is a good example: you choose the light and the composition with care. Even a grey skipper is interesting to look at this way. Well done!
best regards

Splendida macro, eccellenti POV e composizione con un bellissimo effetto tridimensionale, ottima definizione dei dettagli, molto belli i colori e BG. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

Hi Vral,
Very nice and sharp capture of this Borbo on a Tridax flower. The insect is really difficult to capture as it is very swift in deed.
