Hi all,

Good bye friends!!!

This is White-eyed Buzzard (Butastur teesa) Juvenile . Adult bird is a small greyish brown hawk, about 45cm long, the White-eyed Buzzard has a white throat, two dark cheek stripes, brown and white underparts, and orange-yellow cere. Eyes white or yellowish white, conspicuous at close quarters. A whitish nuchal patch and buffish wing shoulders provide additional clues to its identity. Sexes alike. Singly, in open scrub country. Habits: Affects dry open country and thin deciduous forest; avoids humid and densely-wooded tracts. Rather sluggish. Perches on dry trees, telegraph posts, etc., and swoops down on its prey.

This picture is dedicated to my fellow TN Buddies Joe, Howard, Sumon and Rob who have left TN (i hope temporarily) these are the guys who are held in high esteem for their photographic skill and also for their support. I have also decided to take a vacation from TN to introspect the events that occurred yesterday.

Until then good bye friends!!

Cheers,
Goutham R

Hello Goutham,

This is a beautiful final, just befor your vacation. A perfect compo. Colours are very natural. Sharp with a lot of fine details. Must be a dangerous place for this feller, when I saw the needles at the branches!

Thanks for sharing I till soon.

Greetings Bob

Sterling image of a Buzzard with the mist in the background, Goutham.
What a palpable monsoon atmosphere!
An ominous pall of despair has descended on TN in the last couple of days.
The spark and the fizz are gone.
Let us hope it is a passing phase.
All the best and regards.

Hello Goutham,

Wow!!! What a wonderful picture of this lovely bird!

The composition is perfect and the exposition, splendid!!!

I like the fact that the branches form a natural frame around the bird.

Excellent job...

BTW, I was not on TN for several months and wondering why so many excellent photographiers left last week!!! Is it possible to contact me privately in order to understand what happened on TN???

Personnally Goutham, I hope your absence won't be long because you are one of my favorite phototogher and will miss your wonderful pictures and your so pertinent comments, my friend.

Cheers!

Michel
