I kept on thinking about "Bob Shannon" while capturing this landscape with unique wilderness ........so Bob, once again back to you only, it is my sincere tribute to you for your firm encouragement :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pangong Tso, one of the largest brackish-water lakes in Asia, is also considered as the largest lake in Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 4,500 meters, Pangong is 83.3 miles in length and nearly 2-4 miles in width. This lake is fringed by the Pangong range to the south and the Changchenmo range to the north. When the blue-green waters are still, these massive mountains are reflected in all their glory in the lake.
The name Pangong suggests extensive concavity. One third of the lake is in India while the remaining two thirds is in Tibet. Most of the streams feeding the lake are on the Tibetan side.
The changing hues of the lake reflecting different shades of blue, is the most striking feature about Pangong Tso. Sometimes the water sparkles in varying shades of blue, green, purple, and violet, and is transparent to a considerable depth. The villages, pastures and the landscape en route to this lake are very attractive. The water in the lake is salty and the basin is rich in minerals deposited every year by the melting snows from the mountains. Rare black necked cranes and other migratory birds are seen here.

Nick..

Your choice of composition is quite stunning. I love the angles and triangles and other clear geometric shapes. The sharpness throughout, deep contrasts, and the rich saturated colors add to the remarkable impact of this image. Nice work!

Wow...I am always so impressed with these other worldly images. I have seen wide screen documentaries and they too are goo, but the quality work which you do here is always number one. The missing element...pollution. the clear sky and deep azure blues are remarkable..It must be wonder to behold.
Bob
