good shot ,Nice point of view shows fine sharp details on main subject.Beautiful colors and very nice blurry BG.Well done TFS
lovely shot, is this a blue jay? i liked the pov and the composition, i have a request for you : do not take any chances for taking photographs on the road. better admire it from your car and leave. I had a very bad experience. I was driving all alone on the highway in the evening on national highway and was going through beautiful jungle. I thought of captureing the sunset and parked the car and was shooting from one side of the road (not on the road, I was 3 ft off the road) aand all of a sudden a lorry driver with fast speed almost touched my back, i had to jump to save me from that maniac.
Since then no shooting near raods or higways.

Be careful - you may be the first to get hit by a vehicle trying to take a picture of a butterfly! It was worth the risk - this mud puddling butterfly is beautiful. I love the deep colors and the excellent details of the face, body and markings. Those colors are something special.

Slightly OOF but the composition is great and I love the vibrent colours.
Superb exposure too.

All the best!
nice capture! I guess it does belong to the a species of swallowtail butterfly. it is probably common bluebottle.
you will find more detils here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_bluebottle
The common bluebottle is distributed throughout south and southeast Asia. Subspecies appear in India and Sri Lanka (G. s. sarpedon and teredon), China and Taiwan (G. s. semifasciatus and connectens), Japan (G. s. nipponum), Indonesia and the Solomon Islands, New Guinea (G. s. messogis), and Australia (G. s. choredon). In India it occurs in Southern India in the Western Ghats and in the Himalayas from Kashmir in the west to Myanmar in the east.

Nice colourful pattern indeed!
This is a fine capture of Blue Jay Swallowtail taken from a fine low POV while it is puddling and it stands out well against the OOF BG.
TFS this beauty,
