The Grasslands, Dhikala...

This shot reminds me of the Psalm 23.
I wonder if it invokes something similar in you??!!

Hi Goldy
Your landscape is very serene and calming. The haze in the air seems to soften the the hills in the background. Your horizon is nice an straight too. The colours are soft and warm.

Hi Goldy,
Peaceful landscape, with muted colors and results in a very calming composition, Thanks Goldy.

The depth of view is truly marvellous in this image, Goldy.
The stream flowing through the plain in the foreground does touch spiritual heights in its raw appeal.
God know when I am going to see this place I have been longing for.

Hi Goldy!

No, not really, because I don't find any impulse for meditation in those texts. But this doesn't mean that your picture does not invoke anything in me. At the contrary, it's full of emotions and feelings, it's tender and a little bit melancholic, even mystic.

Kind regards

Hi Goldy

This is a very moody shot - the air seems thick with water vapour and a downpour seems imminent - great work.

Hi Goldy,
Another exquisite landscape shot from JCNP with such lovely colours and layers. The ambience and the mood is well portrayed here and I like the clamness of this scene. Excellent POV and composition. Thanks for sharing this fine image.

Hi Goldy,
i'm afraid that i'm with Markus on this one, the bible doesn' really mean anything to me! I guess if you had quoted some old Norse or Pagan then i may have been a bit more relevant!.
Anyway, it is a very peaceful, wild scene indeed. Although the light seems a little flat and the details are a touch blurry, the view as a whole is very nice to look at.
I should imagine you get all manner of beasts drinking from there.

Beautiful title and I can see why it reminds you of that verse, a very beautiful place.

Hi Goldy,
A nice capture of this beautiful landscape. Very well composed with lovely view. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Good landscape shot. Did you use any filter to get that tones on the top? I good old days you used to get that Cokin filters with half sepia :-)

Hi Goldy,
Good shot. I think the green pastures you refer to will be even greener though :)
You ask if this "evokes" something similar in me. It does. But I think you would be well advised to refrain from stating your beliefs here..
I've learned the hard way. The quickest route to losing friends, is to engage in discussions regarding politics or religion. I do not wear my faith on my sleeve as they say. But I will stick my neck out & quote today as you have:

"Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men". 1 Cor. 1:25

"But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised". 1 Cor. 2:14

This is a beautiful landscape, Goldy, I really enjoy looking at it with its splendid colours and the slow meanders of the river leading the eye to the mountains. A beauty!

...and The quiet waters by. My soul He doth restore again... Nice tribute to a good set of readings...I know them well..many of them but this one best and putting it to a picture..in this case where it is slightly overcast..not camera but sky...I retort.."Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.."

Hi Goldy!

Very well composed and peaceful shot!
Too bad I have no time for going out for some photography...
I'll come and check out shots meanwhile! :)
Thanks for checking my gallery, see you next time! And TFS!

Hi Goldy,

I'm not sure if I would have thought of The Lord is my Shepherd but once you mentioned it I thought this was a perfect illustration for that Psalm. Very beautiful with a serene aura - just what we need in times like this.

Hi Goldy
This is like i have opened my eyes to a dream.
The subtleness of the fading hills in the BG and the lush green pastures with the brook running through in the FG is as if a page opened out of a fairytale. The silvery effect in the middle created by the water is wonderful.
This reminds me of Bert's chalk drawings in Mary Poppins, ones where both Poppins and Bert and the children just jumped into and vanished to have a good time.
I like the soft haze that envelopes this whole shot.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful cpature with us.

I would love to add it to my "Unforgettable Theme".
