Dragon fly .
Experts on dragon and damsel flies can help here to ID this beauty.
This more of a documentation, the dragon fly quite big and bold. Perched here it was has some lovely colors and patterns, particularly the eyes. The background too busy here and even at f4 no improvement.

Nice dragon fly Nagraj, I'll post one tomorrow catched... on a beach. This green and gold is very subtle, it makes me think about indian saris.

Hello Nagraj,
An excellent capture of a species of dragonfly unknown to me except that it belongs to the large family of true dragonflies, Aeshnidae. You caught this one from a fine dorsal POV with good sharpness against an OOF natural BG that is not so busy.
I hope someone can ID it.
TFS this fine image,

Hi Nagaraj. This is a dragonfly i have not seen before so thanks for posting i am sorry i can not help with the ID. You have good colour and detail. with good use of the light. well done TFS.

Hello Nagraj,

Very good capture of this beautiful dragonfly. Beautiful composition. Good focus. Superb colours.

PS: I looked for the ID on the site asia-dragonfly.net and I could find a species almost similar anaciaeschna jaspidea, I do not say that it is this species because a lot of species enumerated are without pictures.

Argus is fast and sharp superior image nagaraj. I have seen numbers of these and this is as good as any I have seen with some obvious exceptions..

Hello Nagaraj,
I can't recall having seen this species here before, but having checked Google I think Mariki is right aboiut the ID. Any way, a beautiful species, very nicely captured here. I like the colour of the eyes and the white spots on its 'tail'. Good sharpness and beautiful colours too against a very pleasant green background.
TFS and regards, Ulla
