These grasshoppers are very curious looking creatures,very unlike any we have in NZ.
They stand out quite well in contrast to this red plant. Am I right in thinking it is a Celosia?
A well exposed shot, but a slightly odd composition.
I think I might have rotated it slightly to the right then cropped that side a bit.
I might try a workshop if the resolution allows it.

The Grasshoppers have really chosen the perfect location for mating, Ganesan. Why not value some comfort, isn't it?
A very pleasant shot, sharp and colourful, in which the green of the insects goes well with the red of the flower.

hello ganeshji,

nice to see this beautiful capture from you, i think that you have improved so well in the macro photography and this is clearly visible when we look at your gallery,

in this capture i liked the selected point of view very much, the lens being parrelel to the subject has resulted in a good view of the flower and the mating insects,

the dof is precise as the flower and the insect are in sharp focus and the bg is oof to avoid any distractions,

the colors look well saturated and the contrast between the flowers and the insect and the the bg looks beautiful,

the foucs is spot on and the details of the insects and the flower are recorded well, sharp image,

the only area where i think this image can be improved is the composition, i feel that the flower shouldnt have been placed in the cehtr of the image and leaving more space at the right side of the image would have looked better, i also feel that the lower part of the image (the base of the flower) should have been cropped out to get a uniform bg,

this is my way of looking at this image and i hope that you will continue improving and doing better and better macros by each passing day,

keep shooting, keep sharing, keep imrpving and keep teaching too :-)( we all learn from the post of our friends here)
